Dictionary of Darkness explores the Department of Defense (DoD) lexicon through the lens of planetary
ecological conflict. Examining how armed struggles intersect with environmental warfare and accelerating climate collapse, it contrasts military terminology with perspectives from disputed frontiers and contested areas at past and present colonies.
Questioning the logic that drives the development of technologies that militarize nature, dominate the wild and domesticate it to the point devastation, ‘Dictionary of Darkness’ focuses on the technically detached language that propagates this process.
