Expanded Documentary 2006 / 5 min / 4:3 / English
Created in reaction to the Invasion to Lebanon in 2006, 'Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars' is an expanded documentary / ingle channel video installation exploring the other side of Low Friction Conflicts. By appropriating and re-claiming rare footage of advanced technological tests conducted for the military industrial complex, this work re-examine the reasons behind and beyond the Israeli invasion.
This is part of what is better known as a 'battle tested' strategy for maintaining armed engagements on local scales. This is a regular means by the arms industries of ensuring enormously growing profits, as long as those contemporary acts of warfare are disguised as 'Conflict Management'.
